Sovereign masculinity

Finding your own masculinity instead of playing a role.

This area is aimed at men. Here I work from my own experience as a man: with the roles you take on, with the ruptures when they no longer carry, and with the question of what comes after.

01

Examining old roles

Perform, provide, stay strong, show no weakness. We look at which of these expectations you have taken on, whom they serve and where they constrain you.

02

No new ideal

This is not about swapping the old template for a new one, whether from advertising, self-help books or the internet. Your masculinity grows out of your values, your boundaries and an honest handling of strength and vulnerability.

03

When something breaks

A relationship ends, the job no longer carries, the previous self-image no longer fits. That can pull the ground from under you. I know such ruptures myself. They are painful, but often also the moment in which something new becomes possible.

04

Closeness without giving yourself up

A partnership needs two independent people. Whoever keeps their own friends, interests and boundaries takes nothing away from the relationship. They bring something to it.

05

When self-worth depends on others

Confirmation from a partner, success in dating, the boss's reaction: when everything depends on that, you lose the lead in your own life. We look at how this came about and what can give you support instead.

06

Without an enemy image

Men may speak about their experiences without blaming women for them. We look at concrete situations and relationships. No battle of the sexes is needed for that.

Your next step

The first step is a conversation.

In the first conversation we look at what matters to you and whether I can help you with it.
